Nepali Cart by Tech Babal

Project overview

Nepali Cart is a Nepal-based online shopping platform designed to serve Nepali consumers across a wide range of everyday product categories — from clothing and accessories to electronics and household goods. The vision was to create a locally relevant, reliable, and mobile-friendly marketplace that Nepali shoppers could trust as their go-to online store.

Tech Babal was brought in to design and build nepalicart.com — a full-featured, multi-category WooCommerce e-commerce platform tailored entirely for Nepal’s market. This included custom marketplace architecture, eSewa and Khalti digital wallet integration, advanced product filtering, and a performance-optimised mobile shopping experience built for Nepal’s 4G user base.

The result is a clean, fast, and scalable online marketplace that positions Nepali Cart as a credible local alternative to international platforms — with a shopping experience designed specifically for how Nepali consumers browse, filter, and pay online.

Lets address your questions today!

Nepali Cart is built as a multi-category online marketplace — similar to a mini-Daraz but focused on Nepal-specific products and sellers. WooCommerce's flexible product architecture allows unlimited categories, variable product types, and custom attributes for each category — from clothing sizes to electronics specifications.

We integrated both eSewa and Khalti — Nepal's two dominant digital wallets — directly into the WooCommerce checkout. Customers can pay in NPR using their preferred wallet without leaving the site. We also set up Cash on Delivery (COD) as a secondary option for shoppers not yet using digital wallets.

We configured WooCommerce's product attributes and taxonomy system so every product is tagged with brand, category, price range, and relevant filters. The search bar uses indexed product data for near-instant results. Category pages have sidebar filters so shoppers can narrow down from hundreds of products to exactly what they need in two or three clicks.

Yes — that was a key project requirement. After handover, we provided a full admin training session covering: adding and editing products, managing stock, processing orders, issuing refunds, running sale prices, and reading WooCommerce reports. No developer is needed for any day-to-day operation.

The full project was delivered in one month — from wireframes and design to live deployment with a populated product catalogue and working payment gateways. Timeline included design, development, content population, testing, and training.

Search Engine Optimisation

Beyond building the website, Tech Babal ran a dedicated 6-month SEO campaign to grow the site’s organic visibility on Google — targeting high-intent buyers searching for relevant products and services. The goal was to turn the newly built site into a consistent source of free, compounding organic traffic that reduces dependence on paid ads over time.

Technical SEO Audit & Fix (Month 1)

Full technical audit covering crawlability, indexation, page speed, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, canonical tags, internal linking structure, and mobile usability. All critical issues were resolved before organic promotion began.

Keyword Research & On-Page Optimisation (Month 1–2)

In-depth keyword research to identify high-intent transactional and informational keywords relevant to the business. Every product page, category page, and key landing page was optimised with targeted title tags, meta descriptions, H-tags, and content.

Content SEO Strategy (Month 2–4)

SEO content plan developed targeting informational keywords — blog posts and buying guides written to capture top-of-funnel search traffic and build topical authority in the product niche. Content published consistently throughout the campaign.

Link Building & Authority Growth (Month 3–6)

Targeted outreach for high-quality backlinks from relevant Nepal/regional directories, industry publications, and partner sites — growing domain authority and strengthening the site's competitive position in Google search results.

Monthly Reporting & Refinement (Months 1–6)

A comprehensive monthly SEO report delivered every month — covering keyword ranking movements, organic traffic trends, new backlinks acquired, technical health, and clear recommendations for the following month. Full transparency, no vanity metrics.
